Focused

My Freewrite was an anniversary gift and since receiving it I have been able to focus on JUST my writing. Just like the "commercial" said. Now, I can't use an interrupting notification as an excuse for not completing a project.

Typing at the speed of sound!

There always came a point where I'd find myself clicking on the word count function, desperate to see if I was past 1000 words. When I found I wasn't, begging the muse for an extra 500 was th next thing I'd attempt. Guys, I'm on 3000 every day and sometimes a bit more. This thing rocks.

Awesome device!

The Freewrite (Gen 3) is awesome! The typing experience is smooth. The e-ink is easy on the eyes. The device is so inviting, it embodies the writer's mystique. A pure pleasure!

Awesome Sauce!

So I’ve had the Freewrite Smart Typewriter for a little less than two weeks. I am now a believer! Writing waaaay more. It’s very easy to see why. Cut the distractions and produce more with Freewrite. It does take a little getting used to writing with the new process. At least it did for me. Now I draft, and when I have about a thousand words I’ll edit on the laptop. Editing requires some restructuring of the text itself, as Freewrite will not save with the format, font or font size of your choice. But you get used to that as soon as you realize how much more you can write. Not a bad trade off. Instant love!

Cool little machine

I've had this neat little machine for a week or so now, but just started using it now because I had some other things I had to finish.

I really didn't know that this would be so comfortable to type on. Some people mentioned something about their wrists. Don't know what that is, but I just moved my laptop and put it on my computer desk and it was fine. No problems with my wrists or anything else. I'm still getting used to the keyboard. It's so much different than my laptop, but I like it alot. I especially like the Tab and Return key, especially the tab. If I want to start a paragraph, just click on that and there you are.

I set up Postbox and it was very easy to do.
The only complaint I have is I think the way the battery charges is hard to get used to. The charge light comes on and you have to look for those two lightening bolts on the small screen. That means it's charging, but then it fades out. You don't know how long the typewriter needs to charge and the charge light doesn't go off as far as I can tell.
I wish the little booklet would tell how long the battery has to charge. If you restart, I noticed one time there was a battery icon on the screen that was half full, so I knew I had to keep it plugged in.
Other than that, I am really enjoying it and hope to increase my word output.
