E Ink screen - say goodbye to eye fatigue
Full-size keyboard - high speed silky smooth scissor switch typing
Massive battery - 4-week battery life
Latest software - includes a draft manager and 'WASD' arrow keys
Big storage - Up to 1 million words internal memory
An exceptional product that uniquely cuts out all distractions while boasting a great keyboard and a screen that, unlike a laptop, is well suited to outdoor use. Equally impressive is the fantastic customer service team, who sent me a brand-new model after mine encountered software issues, even though my warrantee had already run out. I could not be happier with my experience with this company--five stars feels too low.

Too expensive for so many limitations
Let me say that despite everything, I love my traveler. It’s convenient for on the go and easy to open it up and begin writing right away. I love how easy it is when you get the hang of it and I do love the features like getting to send drafts automatically to your email.
However, there have been some thing s that didn’t make my experience as enjoyable as I would’ve liked.I think my main problem is that because this is meant to be used for sprinting:fast editing, it leaves no room for anything. Including getting files from your computer transferred to your traveler.while I understand what it’s meant, it does feel limiting to not even have this feature of transferring files especially for this price point. I didn’t pay full price for this and I can’t imagine how underwhelming this feels with the price point it’s giving.
I also feel not having a backlit screen, something so basic that even e-ink screens have nowadays or at least a way to support reading at night, makes it hard for me to enjoy. I write mainly at night, buying additional accessories just so this traveler has to accommodate to my needs feels like I’m spending more than I should.
Overall, I think the price factor makes it hard to enjoy this sometimes. It’s surprising how underutilized this is because I can easily tell so many features could be added on just by updating. It’s limiting to trying to be an exclusive device for sprinting only and I don’t think it’s even got a right to limit itself so much for this price point.
I will be happily writing on this but this has made me weary of purchasing from astrohaus if it’s just this limiting with its products.

I love it!! It does everything I want. Journaling, writing and adding recipes. Portable. I’m not having to lug around a laptop and it feels so nice being able to just grab it up and go. I enjoy sitting anywhere and opening it up and typing away. All that’s missing is a good cup of coffee to go along with it.

Interesting device, I love it so far
So, I bit the bullet despite my misgivings about the price, but it turns out, just like the Supernote e-ink tablet, this 'specialised' device might just be what I needed. While I'm not writing loads every single day, it IS helping me keep writing everyday. I can do it while in my downtime during breaks etc. And best of all, it does help me zone into the writing itself.
It's a little clunky with regards to its filing, and I'm a little wary about the cloud option, wish it was easier to manage files somehow, take things off, and on the device, re-arrange my notes when I finally sit down at a computer.
It is a pure drafting device, but is a pain to re-arrange if you change your workflow.
I would love it if there was a forum for verified Freewrite users so that techniques and drafting workflows could be shared easily amongst the users.
Otherwise, I'm hoping that the Freewrite Traveler that I got for my birthday will last me for a long time to come and hope that it will be the companion for when I finally finish a manuscript!

It’s an absolutely perfect writing tool
I’m writing short stories to build my writing chops and having the Freewrite in a convenient place in my apartment to just pick up the stories in pieces throughout my day has been a game changer. Love this little guy!
